DISTANCE: 11.9 light years from Sol

TAU CETI is a yellow-orange dwarf with a total of seven planets in orbit which includes a large gas giant located within a dense, cold asteroid field at the distant edge of the system.  This debris field contains ten times more dust, asteroids, and cometary material than the Sol system.  Although the star itself is relatively deficient in heavier metals compared to Sol, the entire region contains substantial amounts of Thermium ore.
