The following chronology is set within the fictional universe of the VAST FRONTIER and is a summarized account of future-historical events.  All dates listed correspond with Earth’s Gregorian calendar and are only used as a common frame of reference from the perspective of the Human race.

*Bourne Industries launches the BIC-61 ULYSSES, an interstellar colony transport, on its journey to the Alpha Centauri system.  Traveling at an average speed of 0.09 ly/d, the vessel arrives in the vicinity of the yellow primary star in 52 days.  There, over 4000 colonists disembark for the fourth planet, Kentaurus Prime, where they establish the very first Human settlement in a new star system.

*The Reinhold Corporation officially claims the Sirius binary system as commercial property.  Over 2500 individuals, consisting mostly of engineers and mining crew, begin constructing a modular space habitat positioned within 5 AUs of the primary star.  FENRIR STATION is established as both the main base for their mining operations and the permanent residence of the company employees, making this the second Human settlement in a new star system.

*Six years after the initial colonization of Kentaurus Prime, Bourne Industries launches the BIC-94 PARAGON on a mission to the Alpha Centauri system.  Accompanied by a military escort as part of their expanded security forces; the colony transport arrives at the third planet in orbit around the orange secondary star.  Toliman Gamma becomes the second planet in this trinary system to be permanently colonized by Humans.
