SYSTEM OF ORIGIN: TAU CETI

The only son of Noah and Virginia Boggs, Damon was actually conceived onboard the FIC-59 ENDEAVOR as his parents and 4000 other passengers traveled from Earth to their new home on the planet Galbraith.  He was born two months prematurely in the original settlement of Covenant located off the coast of the Ephemeral Sea.  He barely survived his first year of life as the entire colony struggled through a cold and unforgiving winter.  Yet he later proved to be a hearty and energetic child who spent much of his time exploring his surroundings and gazing up at the stars.

His father continued to operate Frontier Industries from the planet’s large moon, Odessa, and frequently took his son with him on business trips off-world.  It was during these times in outer space that he felt the most content.  From early on, his father noticed that Damon had an almost uncanny sense of direction and could even identify specific stars with his eyes closed.  This natural ability became even more apparent in his teen years when his father began to let him try his hand at piloting the shuttle between ports.

At 20 years of age, Damon was commissioned as a freighter pilot on board the FIC-85 RAVEN under the command of Captain Hank Grayson.  For six years, he manned the helm on numerous freight runs and trade missions to distant systems.  During these missions, he learned a great deal about diplomacy as well as respect for other cultures.  It was also during his first visit to the 61 Cygni system that he met Hana Saito, who would eventually become the love of his life.
